In a world often marked by uncertainty and division, hope is one of humanity’s most precious resources. As the Universal House of Justice reminds us, when “the world’s horizons darken, hope becomes a scarce and precious resource.” The arts possess a unique power to nurture that hope—awakening the imagination, touching hearts, revealing beauty, and inspiring confidence in humanity’s capacity to envision a better future by building vibrant communities.
This conference will explore how music, literature, poetry, visual arts, theatre, film, dance, and other creative expressions can reflect spiritual truths, strengthen resilience, foster unity, and awaken confidence in humanity’s collective future. Through presentations, performances, and conversations, participants will consider how artists and all those who value the arts can become, in the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, “the cause of hope to the despairing soul”.
در جهانی که بیش از پیش با دگرگونی، آشفتگی و گسست‌های اجتماعی روبه روست، امید از گران بهاترین سرمایه‌های انسان به شمار می‌آید. بیت‌العدل اعظم می‌فرماید: «در مقابله با افق تیره و تار عالم، امیدواری سرمایه‌ای است کمیاب و گران بها.» هنر، به گونه‌ای یگانه، توان آن را دارد که این امید را در دل‌ها زنده نگاه دارد؛ نیروی تخیل را برانگیزد، جان انسان را متأثر سازد، جلوه‌های زیباٰيی را آشکار کند و اعتماد به توانایی نوع بشر را برای ساختن آینده‌ای بهتر و پرورش جوامعی پویا و شکوفا استحکام بخشد.
کنفرانس امسال بر آن است تا به بررسی این حقیقت بپردازد که چگونه موسیقی، ادبیات، شعر، هنرهای تجسمی، تئاتر، سینما، رقص و دیگر جلوه‌های آفرینش هنری می‌توانند بازتاب دهنده حقایق روحانی باشند، پایداری و استقامت را تقویت کنند، همدلی و یگانگی را گسترش دهند و امید و اطمینان به آینده مشترک بشریت را در دل‌ها بیدار سازند. شرکت کنندگان، از رهگذر سخنرانی‌ها، اجراهای هنری و گفت وگوهای جمعی، خواهند اندیشید که هنرمندان و همه آنان که هنر را ارج می‌نهند، چگونه می‌توانند به تعبیر حضرت عبدالبهاء، «در هر حال امیدوار» گردند.
